This gorgeous Needlepoint Pillow was stitched by Carol S. one of our customers and finished by our finisher BarbG. We raffeled it off last Dec as part of our fundraising efforts. We will have several consolation prizes as well. So join the fun and keep your fingers crossed.
Every year The Busy Needle sponsors an ornament tree to benefit local diabetes charities. Here is how it works: 1. All year long we take donations of handmade ornaments from around the country and around the world and decorate a tree that is in the shop. 2. From Nov. 1 to Dec. 31st of each year, when someone makes a cash donation to the tree fundraiser they get to choose an ormament off the tree and also receive a pack of freebie charts donated by the designers to benefit our cause. 3. Donations are also accepted by mail. Send your check or PayPal to the shop and we pick an ornament off the tree for you and mail it to you along with the designer packet of freebie charts. Please include $2 for postage along with your donation for the fundraiser. How can you help? By donating an ornament (flat finished preferred since so many are mailed out). Encourage your favorite designers to participate in our efforts...and thank them when you receive the freebie packets! THANKSGIVING AUCTION Around Thanksgiving each year we have a Diabetes Tree Fundraiser Auction on EBAY. Donated items are listed and auctioned off and the money raised goes to the charity. Donations are gratefully accepted from designers, distributors and stitchers. If you would like to be notified when the auction begins, email us to get on the EBAY AUCTIONS reminder list. You will not receive any other emails from us, promise, unless you ask! We will just send the notice that the auction items are listed at Ebay so you can check them out.
